University of Central Oklahoma - 2007 National Champions

By the end of the day (Saturday, March 10), the UCO Bronchos will win their 15th NCAA Division II Wrestling Championship; the Bronchos will have five wrestlers in the finals and one in the consolation finals - Click here to read more of Friday's results.... Champion and Runner-Up

Congratulations to Shawn Ledford and Dustin Sloan on their accomplishments for the 2006-2007 wrestling season...the Black Bear team finish #10.

Two Black Bears capture a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP and STATE RUNNER-UP - one and one at the end of the STATE TOURNAMENT. Coach Kendle stated this year's Class 2A was full of really good wrestlers.

Pilot Cooperative Activities Program

Pawnee and Morrison are conducting a pilot cooperative activity program this year - both Sloan brothers (Dustin a senior and Clinton a sophomore) are wrestling for the Black Bears.

Pre-Season

Pawnee is preseason ranked #8 as a Tournament Team and Unranked as a Dual Team.

Individuals

At 135 lbs., Shawn Ledford is ranked #1 in Class 2A and #4 overall in All Classes. He is the 2006 Class 2A 135lb State Champion returning for his last year.

At 160 lbs., Sloan is ranked #4 overall in All Classes.
